Amigos on Colorado Boulevard is a
regular for many Caltechies, as well as a hot spot for local
twenty-somethings. The margaritas aren't bad here, and if you time
it right, it can be a pretty cool place.
Wednesday - I think it is - is a
kinda nerd night. A night for Caltechies, JPLies and other
scientifically-minded geeks to get together and discuss Unified
Theory hypotheses. Sometimes this is a pretty interesting crowd,
and you can increase your I.Q. while getting smashed.
Overall, Amigos can almost feel
like a college bar, so if that is what you are into, check it out.
The major problem with Amigos is location. Off Lake about 3 blocks
East on Colorado, the location is fine if you are staying at
Amigos...
..but if you want to bar hop.
